Restaurant

Diss isch e Hüs, ken Bäjes ùn ken Kàschtell !

Inside

In Strasbourg, inside a beautiful house on the banks of the Ill river, and right in the heart of the Petite France, our restaurant offers an Alsatian family cuisine, simple and generous.

Completely renovated in April 2019, it hosts 80 seats in a friendly atmosphere! Coquettishly rustic and warm, we intended it to be faithful to the old winstubs, but without getting decrepit for that. Our two rooms combine exposed beams and woodwork, opened windows on the quays and Stammtisch's quoins. They are dressed with a simple, but comfortable, service and welcome you every day all year round! Our idea is simple: to offer again this emblematic place to people from here and elsewhere, to only preserve the best, to sprinkle it with history and modernity, a fair amount of humor and tastiness ; briefly: with everything which shape Alsatian culture as so festive and welcoming!

Bewery

At the foot of the oldest plane tree in Strasbourg, illuminated by the sweetness of the Ill, our terrace welcomes you in a typical and sumptuous scenery.

As it be to dock at the edge of the river, to ramble from the Ponts Couverts, to let yourself be carried away by the charm of the cobblestones or even to take shelter from the heat under the leaves of this old, centuries-old tree: come and sit down here! You can sip a good home wine, a beer brewed in the region or even a huge glass of Alsatian water. Open from May to September, from 12h to 22h30, our terrace, for sure, will make you conclude that it is nice to live with us!

Our cuisine

Shortly: wines that makes you happy, dishes from here, traditional but not rusty, recipes of yesteryear with nowadays ideas, and only seasonal & regional ingredients!

In our restaurant, we make it a principle to prepare a simple cuisine, always Alsatian, seasonal and local. Which means: do everything at home, from Spatzele to Schartwaldtorte, with fresh products, bought at the market or directly from local farmers. It is also: to cook with the seasons. Strawberries in winter and asparagus in autumn? No thank you ! Our menu is adapting to the periods in Strasbourg life, salads to the summer and baeckeoffe for the cold! And this, without limiting ourselves to conventions and a priori, because we dare to mix genres and origins. And yes, it's like that, to live in Alsace.
